Překlad
Membership in Wikimedia Czech Republic offers you the opportunity to participate in its activities and direction and to benefit from unhindered support in the form of know-how, promotion, equipment, technology, space, materials or funding for your wiki activities.
Terms of membership
- Minimum age of 15 years, for minors the consent of a legal guardian is required.
- Consent to the Statutes and to the processing of personal data expressed on the application form (in writing or electronically).
- Verification of the applicant's identity (name and date of birth as stated on the application form) and approval of membership by the Council.
- Timely payment of the annual membership fee.
Types of membership
Except for Honorary Membership, which is awarded by the Society for special merit in pursuit of our objectives, it is possible to apply for one of two types of membership:
- Sympathetic membership - by your membership you support Wikimedia Czech Republic and are sent important information about our activities; you can participate in the General Assembly; make suggestions and comments to the Council regarding the management and activities of the Society; address the Audit Committee or benefit from financial and other support for your activities leading to the realization of the Society's goals.
- Full membership - if you want to take an active part in the Society's activities, you get the right to vote in internal elections (you can also participate as a candidate and thus directly participate in the Society's leadership) and you are included in internal information channels (mailing list, internal Wiki).
How to become a member?
- Fill out and submit the e-application form
- The councillor responsible for the membership area or an authorised representative will contact you on the details provided to arrange the next steps (identity verification, etc.).
- Your application will be discussed at the next Council meeting. You will be notified of approval by email.
- Once your application has been approved, we will ask you by email to pay a membership fee of at least 400 CZK (or at least 200 CZK for members under 26 and over 65) to 2600138934/2010. Please do so within 90 days after the request is sent, otherwise your eligibility for admission will expire. Please use your assigned membership number as a variable symbol so that we can identify your payment. If you wish, you can also include your login in the note to the recipient. However, please note that the account is transparent and your account name will be public.
- If you have any questions or problems, you can contact the Society Board at rada@wikimedia.cz. You can do the same if you wish to apply for a sympathetic membership for a legal entity.
We look forward to working with you!
How does membership end?
Membership in Wikimedia Czech Republic can end in several ways:
- By leaving. If you wish to leave the association, you can do so at any time by sending an e-mail to the Council at rada@wikimedia.cz.
- By failing to pay your membership fee: If you do not pay your membership fee by the due date, your membership will end. It can be renewed later by submitting a new application.
- Expulsion: For serious failure to fulfil membership obligations, or for other serious reasons, the Council may expel a member under disciplinary procedures. Such a decision may be appealed to the General Assembly (the assembly of all full members of the WMCR), which will make a final decision on its validity.
More detailed information can be found in the Statutes. Other (less common) reasons for termination of membership may also be listed there.
